Tour Options

When booking your excursion from Madrid, you can choose between a tour of the Ribera del Duero or a tour of the Tagus Valley. Below are the details of each experience:

Tagus Valley Tour (6 hours)

We’ll meet at the scheduled time at Plaza del Conde de Casal, 6. From this point in Madrid, we’ll head toward the Tagus Valley and the Las Vegas area. These regions are the birthplace of the Vinos de Madrid Designation of Origin, where tradition and innovation come together to produce wines full of character.

After a journey of around 45 minutes, we’ll make our first stop at a winery with vines that are over 80 years old, a hallmark of the area. We’ll meet the owners, tour the facilities, and enjoy a tasting of several wines accompanied by appetizers, while learning about organic viticulture.

Next, we’ll travel to another town in the Region of Madrid to visit a traditional winery where wine is produced in centuries-old clay jars. The winemaker will share the family history and production process as we taste their wines paired with a typical local recipe.

Our final stop will be a fifth-generation family winery with centuries-old caves where the wines are aged. Here, we’ll taste white, red, and sparkling wines, accompanied by a traditional regional dish.

At the end of this 6-hour tour, we’ll return to the original meeting point in Madrid.

Ribera del Duero Tour (11 hours)

At the scheduled time, we’ll meet at Plaza del Conde de Casal, 6, and depart by bus toward Castilla y León. This is home to the Ribera del Duero Designation of Origin, one of the most prestigious wine regions in Spain.

During this excursion, we’ll visit three wineries to learn about the entire wine production process, from vineyard care to aging in oak barrels.

At each winery, we’ll take part in tastings to learn how to identify the aromas, flavors, and characteristics of Ribera del Duero wines, paired with local cheeses and traditional cured meats.

Afterwards, you’ll have 45 minutes of free time to enjoy lunch at a traditional restaurant at your own expense and sample the delicious cuisine of Castilla.

Finally, we’ll return to the departure point in Madrid, where this 11-hour excursion will come to an end.
