If you want to learn all about pulque, the 'drink of the Gods', and what it was used for back in pre-Hispanic times, don't miss out on this pulque tour around Mexico City.
Mexico City Pulque Tour
At 12 pm we'll pick you up from your hotel or meet up directly at Paseo de la Reforma to take you downtown, where we'll begin a tour of the pulquerias of Mexico City. Let's go!
We'll visit different places to learn all the steps to make this pre-Hispanic spirit, made with the fermentation of agave sap. We'll have the opportunity to taste the two kinds of pulque that exist: natural and cured. The latter is made by adding fruits and traditional sweets, such as marzipan for instance.
Then, we'll visit some establishments such as La Hija de Los Apaches or Los Insurgentes, filled with perfect examples of the amazing art, literature, and music of this city. What's more, we'll also enjoy a shot of mezcal along with a delicious appetizer.
Lastly, we'll take you back to the pick-up point at 4.30 pm, ending the activity.
The tour includes pick up from the following hotel areas in Mexico City: Cuauhtémoc, Venustiano Carranza, Miguel Hidalgo, or Benito Juárez. If your accommodation is located in another area, we'll meet you directly at 208 Paseo de la Reforma.
