After picking you up at your accommodation in Nerja, we'll head to the picturesque mountains of the Axarquia. On this tour, we'll delve into the Moorish history and the origins of the architecture and culture of these white villages. Let's go there!
Our first stop will be in Árchez, one of the smallest and most beautiful villages of the Axarquía. We'll stroll through its charming narrow streets, admiring its popular architecture, which clearly evokes the Moorish past of this village.
In just six minutes by car, we'll reach our second stop: Canillas de Albaida. Less than 3 kilometers (1.8 miles) from Árchez, we'll drive through its main points of interest and make a stop at the main square. Here, you can enjoy a coffee while surrounded by white houses with balconies full of colorful flowers and the old village church.
Next, we'll visit Salares, a charming white village, the smallest of the Axarquia. We'll learn about its fascinating past, from Roman times to the Christian era, passing through the Arab occupation. Undoubtedly, a place where time seems to stand still!
Finally, we'll head to the beautiful village of Sayalonga, where we'll stop for a delicious tapas lunch. We'll stroll through its streets, including one famous for being the narrowest in Andalusia. This lunch, prepared with local ingredients, will allow you to appreciate the rich gastronomy of the Axarquia, and includes a drink per person.
After lunch, we'll finally return to Nerja, where we'll arrive 9 hours later.
