Pals Free Walking Tour
Tour Details
At the designated time, we'll meet at the Ca la Pruna Cultural Center to begin this free tour of Pals, one of the most beautiful villages on the Costa Brava.
First, we'll cross the Calle Mayor and Plaza Mayor until we reach the Church of Sant Pere. In front of this stunning Romanesque building, we'll learn all about how it was built using stones from the castle.
Next, we'll see the Tower of the Hours. This is the only part of the 11th-century castle, which was destroyed in the 15th century, that remains standing. From there, we'll walk toward one of the highest spots in the town: the Josep Pla viewpoint.
From this viewpoint, we'll enjoy the beautiful views of the Baix Empordà region and the Pyrenees. Once we've taken pictures, we'll head to the Paseo Archaeological, a promenade where you'll admire the well-preserved parts of the medieval wall.
After 1.5 hours, we'll say our goodbyes at the starting point.
