José Ignacio Resort Private Excursion

After picking you up at the hotel, we'll head towards La Barra, a small town that enjoys incredible popularity due to its own style, colorful houses, and an important influx of visitors thanks to its art galleries, nightclubs, and restaurants.

You'll discover its famous beaches, such as Montoya, Bikini, and Manantiales, spread along the southern coast of the country and offering beautiful scenery. We'll arrive at one of the most beautiful natural gems of Uruguay: the beach resort of José Ignacio.

Once in José Ignacio, you'll admire the contrast between the life of the fishermen who inhabit this place and the rich and famous who spend the summer on its beaches. We'll visit its beaches and the famous José Ignacio Lighthouse, the main square, the amphitheater, and the parish of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception.

We'll take a break so you can have lunch at your leisure and enjoy the calm sea and the white sand of the natural beach of José Ignacio. After enjoying this peaceful area, we'll start our way back to Punta del Este.

On the way back, we'll stop at the Pablo Atchugarry Foundation and the Museum of the Sea, which houses the world's most extensive collection of marine fauna. Among its more than 5,000 items are several kinds of sea urchins, starfish, corals, whale skeletons, turtle shells, and shark jaws.

Finally, we'll return to Punta del Este. We'll arrive at the hotel around 2 pm.
