Quebec Free Tour
Tour Details
At the indicated time, we'll begin our free tour of Quebec from the central Place d'Armes. Ready to discover the capital of the French-speaking part of Canada?
Firstly, we'll admire the fountain that presides over the square, which is crowned by a monument dedicated to faith. Nearby is the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity, the first Anglican church to be built outside the British Isles. The church was inaugurated in 1804 and has been one of the most venerated places in the city ever since.
We'll continue our tour of Quebec in front of the Château Frontenac. This luxury hotel, opened in 1893, is the main symbol of the city. Its architecture is very similar to that of the Châteaux of the Loire Valley—do you know why? We'll find out!
Next, we'll enter the most picturesque streets of Old Quebec, the city's historic centre. Did you know that it's a World Heritage Site? In this neighbourhood, located on the banks of the St. Lawrence River, you'll find beautiful squares such as the Place Royal, where you can admire the Notre-Dame-des-Victoires Church.
Finally, after approximately 3 hours, we'll conclude the tour by returning to the meeting point.
