Alsace Wine Route
Half-Day Tour (4 hours)
The tour meets ni the centre of Strasbourg in the morning, from where we'll begin our route discovering the wine of the region in our minibus. In just under half an hour, we'll arrive at the first stop on our route, the village of Obernai.
Together with our guide, we'll explore the winding medieval streets, admire the coloured houses and discover St. Odilia, the patron saint of the Alsace region. Then we'll enjoy the first of the day's tastings in one of the best wineries in the region.
Following the tasting, we'll climb back aboard the minibus, to explore the miles and miles of vineyards which have made the region famous, until we arrive at a typical local wine producer. Here is where we'll stop for the second and final wine tasting of the day, where we'll also learn more about the wine production process and its different details..
Finally, we'll head back to the centre of Strasburg by minibus.
Full-Day Tour (8 hours)
If you want to dig deeper into the world of wines and wine making, the full day option is for you!
Leaving in the morning, we'll head to the Alsace wine producing region, admiring the vineyards until we arrive at one of its most famous villages, such as Mittelbergheim, or Barr. Here is where we'll enjoy our first wine tasting of the day, with varieties such as Pinot Blanc, Sylvaner and Riesling on offer.
Then we'll head to Dambacj, where we'll visit a caveau - the French word for a wine cellar! And here you'll choose a bottle and try the second of your wine tastings. Cheers!
You'll then enjoy free time to get some lunch in the area, before heading to Ribeauvillé or Riquewihr, two of the most important wine-producing villages in the region. There, families such as Trimbach and Hugel can boast a tradition dating back almost 400 years!
And in one of these medieval towns you'll enjoy the third and final wine tasting of the day, before heading back to Strasbourg.
