Taroko National Park Tour
We'll pick you up from your hotel in Taipei between 5:30 am and 6:00 am. From here we'll go to the Main Station in the Taiwanese capital, where we'll get the train to Hualien.
From Hualien Station, we'll get a coach one of eastern Taiwan's environmental treasures, the Taroko National Park. We'll climb up the rough terrain of gorges, valleys and mountains pierced by the Liwu River and reach the landmark gorge that gives its name to the natural space. The Taroko Gorge is an impressive 12 miles long (19 kilometres), whose remarkable setting will leave you speechless. We'll continue the tour walking along one of the well-known routes in the park, the Shakadang Trail, here you can marvel close up at the impressive canyons!
The next stop will be the Eternal Spring Shrine. This spiritual spot in Taroko, also called the Changchun Temple, is located at the top of a waterfall which pours over a nearby valley. It's a totally peaceful haven for you to enjoy in the middle of nature! Close to this is the Swallow Grotto Trail where we'll learn more about its intriguing name...
We'll follow the route to Tianxian Terrace, where we can admire the imposing Cimu Bridge, one of the most significant engineering works in the region. From here we'll head to a restaurant where we'll enjoy a traditional lunch which will include a typical dish from the region. The next stop will be the marble factory in the national park, this is one of the main economic activities in the region.
Finally, we'll leave the Taroko National Park to enjoy the amazing panoramic views of the renowned Qixing Beach. Just 10 minutes away from here you'll be surprised by the splendid works of art at the Hualien Stone Sculpture Museum Park. After visiting this open-air exposition we'll return to Hualien Station where we'll get the train back to Taipei.
From Taipei Main Station we'll drop you off at your hotel in the Taiwanese capital. Arrival at the different hotels is set for 7:30 pm.
