Travel along the unique railway line from Borjomi to the village of Bakuriani with this Kukushka Train Day Trip from Tbilisi. Admire the mountain terrain and the beautiful rainforest.
Kukushka Train Day Trip
At 9 am we'll meet at the Avlabari metro station in Tbilisi to begin a fascinating excursion to Borjomi, two and a half hours away. Once there, we'll take you directly to Kukushka train station for a journey to Bakuriani.
We'll board this legendary train which dates back to the 19th century. Did you know that it was the Romanov family who ordered its construction? It was carried out because of the reduced accessibility through the mountains and it was difficult to reach Bakuriani.
We'll cross the Lesser Caucasus landscape, its amazing forests and the Tsemistskali River, whose bridge was designed by Gustave Eiffel. You'll be surprised!
After the train journey, we'll go to the Bakuriani ski resort, which is the most famous in Georgia! If you wish, you can do some winter sports or have lunch.
At 4:30 pm we'll leave Bakuriani. On the way back to Tbilisi we'll stop for an hour at the Borjomi Nature Park. You'll have the opportunity to sample the natural water.
We'll arrive back in Tbilisi at 9 pm.
