With the Mount Rigi Day Pass, you'll enjoy a one-day pass to ride the cable cars and cogwheel trains on Mount Rigi in the Swiss Alps.

Mount Rigi Day Pass

The Mount Rigi Day Pass is a pass which, for 1 day, allows you to climb to the top of Mount Rigi on board the following means of transport:

  • Cogwheel train to Mount Rigi from Vitznau
  • Cogwheel train to Mount Rigi from Goldau
  • Cable car to Mount Rigi from Weggis
  • Cable car to Mount Rigi from Kräbel

This way, you can take the cogwheel train from either Vitznau or Goldau, and both trains will take you to the top of Mount Rigi, from where you'll have an exceptional panoramic view of Lake Lucerne, the Bernese Alps, the Vosges Mountains and part of the Black Forest.

If you prefer, you can also take the Weggis or Kräbel cable car, from where you can enjoy magnificent views of the Swiss Alps!

Whether you decide to take a cogwheel train or a cable car, you can enjoy the scenery and facilities at your leisure at the top of Mount Rigi at an altitude of 1,797 metres (5,895 feet).

As well as that, with more than 120 kilometres (74 miles) of hiking trails, Mount Rigi is the ideal starting point for alpine nature walks and hikes. There are themed trails with playgrounds, barbecue areas and family restaurants. The Känzeli viewpoint at the Rigi Kaltbad offers a spectacular place to take a selfie.

Please note that for one day, you can go up as many times as you like on the four modes of transport included in your Mount Rigi Day Pass. Your pass will only be valid for the day you choose when you book.

Hot Springs

If you wish, you can add admission to the Mineralbad & Spa Rigi Kaltbad complex to your Mount Rigi Day Pass, which you can access using the transport included in your pass. Inside the complex you can enjoy the Finnish sauna, whirlpools with views of the Alps and a relaxation area.

The way the water is heated is totally sustainable, as it's made with wood from Mount Rigi and left at a temperature of 35 degrees Celsius (95 degrees Fahrenheit). Did you know that this complex is also fed by its own spring? It comes from the Tres Hermanas spring, discovered 600 years ago and famous for its healing properties.

Please note that the minimum age to enter the thermal complex is 16.
