Zermatt Gourmet Food Walk
Tour Details
What are the most popular Alpine recipes? To discover them, you'll need to head to the Alpine Hotel Perren, where your apéritif tour of Zermatt begins. This town in the Canton of Valais in southern Switzerland, offers a wide variety of specialties that mix with the Italian tradition, whose border is a short distance away.
This walking tour of Zermatt is self-guided, so you'll be able to stroll at your own pace through the city. The tour consists of a total of 4 stops, and at each one, you'll have an apéritif with a drink. The dishes you'll taste will vary, but they can be exquisite delicacies like grilled vegetables, Swiss cheeses, local cured meats, and meats from the country.
Between one stop and another, you'll only have to walk a distance of about 10 to 20 minutes. The first tasting will take place at the Restaurant La Barrique in Alpine Hotel Perren, a typical Alpine brasserie specializing in typical Swiss and northern Italian recipes. After this initial bite, you'll continue our tour by walking toward the café-bar of Hotel Pollux, where you'll enjoy a traditional apéritif.
The next stop will be at Marie's Deli Zermatt, the restaurant of the hotel Le Mirabeau. This restaurant specializes in stews, salads, and cured meats. Get ready for a mouthwatering experience!
Finally, after a 3.5-hour tour, this tasty tour of Zermatt will wrap up at the Restaurant Bazaar in the Cervo Mountain Resort. This restaurant has a lounge-bar, a very popular concept among mountaineers, where their cocktails and Asian-inspired apéritifs stand out.
