Kronborg, Frederiksborg and Fredensborg... Discover the three most important castles in Denmark and step back in time on this fascinating day trip from Copenhagen.
Copenhagen Castles Tour
After meeting on Banegårdspladsen street at 10:30 am, we'll board our minibus and travel to Øresund, more commonly known as the Sound. From here you'll be able to see the Swedish coast!
Upon arrival, we'll begin our tour of three of the most important castles in Denmark. On the bus, you'll be able to enjoy the natural scenery and listen to the explanations of an audioguide in English to learn all about the history of the region.
Our first stop will be at Frederiksborg, splendid both inside and out. We'll walk through the castle gardens and admire its interior decor, carefully curated over the years.
The next castle we'll stop at will be the Fredensborg Palace, the Danish Royal Family's summer residence. Here, you'll be able to take wonderful photos of the surroundings, admiring the stunning gardens and statues.
Then finally it's Kronborg Castle, declared as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, this castle is known worldwide as the castle that inspired Shakespeare to write Hamlet.
After seeing three of the most impressive buildings in Denmark, we'll make our way back to Copenhagen, concluding the tour at 3:30 pm.
