Copenhagen Food Tour
We'll meet on Vesterbrogade Street, next to the town hall square (Rådhuspladsen). Over about two and a half hours we'll pass through the historic centre of Copenhagen, looking for the most popular delicacies the Danish capital has to offer.
Our first stop will be for hot dogs. There are many food trucks throughout the city selling these delicacies, do you know why? We'll hit one of these trucks to learn why hot dogs have become one of the favourite dishes for Copenhagen locals.
We'll continue our route, visiting a traditional restaurant, where we'll try frikadeller. This traditional Scandinavian dish consists of fish meatballs with Danish bread and a remoulade sauce. Simply delicious!
Our third dish will be artisanal sandwiches, with a multitude of options: roast beef, chicken, vegetarian, vegan, salmon and much much more. You can choose the two most appealing (or interesting!) according to your tastes.
As a sweet ending to our tour, we'll finish with a tasting of Danish sweet pastries. Although the butter cookies from Denmark are famous throughout the world, some less famous dishes such as flødebolle (tiny chocolate covered marshmallow treats) are well worth a try.
The tour then ends at the original meeting point.
