Machu Picchu Hike: 2-Day Inca Trail Details
Day 1: Inca Trail
On the first day of the tour, you'll be picked up from your hotel in Cusco at the designated time, and we'll set off by minibus to Ollantaytambo Railway Station to catch the train to Kilometre 104, one of the most famous spots to start the short Inca Trail.
We'll hike up to Chachabamba and Wiñayhuayna, one of the most important archaeological complexes on the Inca Trail. After a break to enjoy a picnic lunch, we'll continue the hike toward Inti Punku, also known as The Sun Gate. From this site, you can take fantastic pictures of the citadel of Machu Picchu as you enjoy a beautiful sunset.
In the afternoon, we'll take the bus from Machu Picchu in Aguas Calientes, where you'll have dinner and spend the night after a long day of adventure.

Day 2: Machu Picchu
On our second day, we'll enjoy a buffet-style breakfast at the hotel in Aguas Calientes before catching the bus up to Machu Picchu. Here, we'll go on a 2-hour guided tour of the incredible archaeological complex, considered one of the Seven Wonders of the Modern World. After the tour, you'll have free time to explore the ancient site at your leisure, or to visit Huayna Picchu mountain.
We'll then catch the bus back to Aguas Calientes, where you'll have free time to eat and stroll around the town. In the afternoon, we'll meet back up to take the train back to Ollantaytambo.
From the Ollantaytambo Railway Station, we'll travel by bus to your hotel in Cusco, where you'll be dropped back around 8 pm.

Hike Accommodation
The tour includes 1 night's accommodation with breakfast and dinner at the Rockriver Hotel (3 stars) or similar. The indicated price is per person staying in a double room with a private bathroom.
Admission to Huayna Picchu
To visit Huayna Picchu mountain, you must book your own entrance ticket through the website of the Peruvian Ministry of Culture.
Important Info
In the event the activity is canceled due to strikes or unfavorable weather conditions, we'll give you an alternative date to participate in the tour. If it is not possible to organize an alternative date, please note that you will be refunded the full amount paid for the activity, except for the Inca Trail entrance fee (S/ 222 (US$ 63.78)), which cannot be canceled.

A - To participate in this activity, you must be in good physical condition, as we'll hike a total of 52 ft (16 km) and reach an altitude of 8923 ft (2720 m) above sea level.

Q - What should I bring?
A - We recommend packing hiking boots and walking poles. To protect yourself from the sun, bring a hat or cap, sunglasses, and sunscreen. We also recommend bringing insect repellent, alcohol gel, and a small backpack, as well as water (2 liters per person) and energizing snacks like chocolate or sweets. For the rainy season (from December to March), waterproof jackets and ponchos are useful. If you want to visit the hot springs, bring sandals and a bathing suit. Don't forget your original passport and cash in the local currency (Peruvian soles).
