Quinchao Island Day Trip
Quinchao Island Day Trip
Between 9 am and 9:30 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Dalchue and take you to the town's dock. We'll hop on a boat and make the 15-minute crossing to Quinchao Island, one of the largest islands in the Chiloé archipelago.
After disembarking in the north of the island, we'll take a bus to the island's main points of interest. Our tour of Quinchao will begin with a visit to the picturesque town of Curaco de Vélez. Here, we'll admire the famous green façade of its characteristically Chilote church, which is an icon of the Los Lagos region.
Next, we'll go to a local restaurant so you can spend some time relaxing and having lunch at your leisure. We'll reconvene and head to Anchao, the largest village on the island. Among its main monuments, we'll find the Church of Santa María de Loreto, which has been declared a World Heritage Site.
A few feet away from the church lies Anchao's harbour, from which you'll see the silhouettes of both Llingua and Linlín islands on the horizon. Our route around Quinchoa will then take us to the southern end of the island, where we'll admire the incredible scenery at Chequian Point.
We'll return to the dock in the northern part of Quinchao Island to take the boat back to Dalcahue. Our arrival back at your hotel is scheduled for 5:30 pm. See you next time!
