Edinburgh Harry Potter Walking Tour
Tour Details
At the designated time, we'll meet at the William Chambers Monument to begin this walking tour of Edinburgh. On this tour, you'll discover the city where JK Rowling found inspiration for her famous Harry Potter books!
First, we'll head to Greyfriars Kirkyard, a graveyard located on the southern edge of the old town. Here, you'll see the real grave of Tom Riddle! As you explore the old town, you'll stroll along its narrow, winding streets and admire its historic, tall buildings with spires. You'll see for yourself how much the author was inspired by this charming, vibrant city.
Then, it'll be time to find out which Hogwarts House you're in! Are you a brave Gryffindor, a loyal Hufflepuff, an intelligent Ravenclaw, or an ambitious Slytherin? You'll soon find out! After revealing your house, you'll have the chance to test your Harry Potter knowledge and earn points for your house!
Afterward, we'll go to the Edinburgh City Chambers, the meeting place of the City of Edinburgh Council. As you pass this important building, you'll see JK Rowling's golden handprints outside the City Chambers. The author was honored with the Edinburgh Award in 2008, which recognizes individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the city.
Our Harry Potter-themed walking tour of Edinburgh will finish here, at the Edinburgh City Chambers, after 2 hours. Hope you had a magical time!
