Once we're ready, we'll hop on an aircraft and take off to discover the incredible nature of El Calafate and its surroundings. First, we'll see this small town on the shores of the Argentino Lake. Did you know this lake is the entrance gate to the Los Glaciares National Park?
As we soar, you'll admire the Cerro Wilche and the Cerro Calafate, mountains that stand over 4921 feet (1500 meters) tall, giving the town an incomparable natural frame. Afterward, we'll fly over the southern coast of the Argentino Lake to see the Bahía Redonda.
The aircraft will then fly over the Ruta Provincial 15 motorway, passing by different sites such as Estancia Anita, Chorrillo Malo, Los Lagos, and Lago Roca, essential sites to understand the region's history. As we enter Los Glaciares National Park, you'll see how the landscape changes from arid to Andean forests.
We'll admire the Roca and Rico lakes, the Valley del Río Mitre, Puerto Punto Bandera, and Cerro Castillo, one of the largest icons in the area. To end our flight on a high note, we'll pass by the world-famous Perito Moreno Glacier. Get ready to see its impressive ice blocks from a vantage point!
Lastly, we'll return to El Calafate passing by the birthplace of the Santa Cruz River. Finally, we'll land and conclude our 1-hour aircraft flight.
