At the indicated time, we'll meet at the Kangaroo Island Visitor's Information Center for an unforgettable experience, swimming with dolphins or seals!
Upon arrival, we'll be fitted for our equipment, including wetsuits, snorkel masks, and fins, ensuring a safe and secure swim. Then, it's onto our boat that will take us around Kangaroo Island in search of the marine life often found in the area. As we begin to sail, our knowledgeable guide will share fascinating insights into the ecosystems of Kangaroo Island.
During our snorkeling adventure, we'll explore the incredible marine ecosystems that characterize Kangaroo Island. We'll either search for seals or dolphins, depending on the season and conditions. On certain days, we may even be able to see both!
Seals are typically found basking in the sun on the large rocks near the water's edge. Once we spot these friendly creatures, it's time to dive in and swim alongside the fun and playful mammals.
If the season is right, we'll also search for dolphin pods that call these coastal waters home. Once we've spotted a few, we'll dive in and have an unforgettable snorkeling experience next to these friendly cetaceans.
Then, after an enriching 2 hours, we'll bring the experience to an end back at the meeting point.
Dolphin & Seal Sightings
Dolphins, seals, and other wildlife on Kangaroo Island are fairly unpredictable creatures, so we can't promise a sighting. The chances of spotting them depend on various natural and weather-related factors.
Children
Children are welcome to join this tour and enjoy the boat ride; however, they must be over 9 years old to participate in the swimming and snorkeling portion.
