At 8 am we will pick you up from your hotel in Malia. You'll hop on the jeep and we'll be off to the southern region of Crete.
Our first destination? The small village of Viannos, a great example of traditional Greek architecture from the 20th century. But we'll soon discover this little village also has hidden remnants of the various civilizations that have settled on the island over the centuries, from the Phoenicians to the Romans. We'll also visit the Viannos Museum and then make a brief stop at a cafe to get our caffeine fix.
We'll resume our journey and head off to Kavoussi canyon. We will reach the top of this 850-meter-tall gorge and enjoy an unforgettable view of the island. And maybe, if luck is on our side, we'll be able to see some vultures that live in the area.
Then we will continue our drive to explore the beautiful natural landscapes of Southern Crete until we reach Richtra waterfall, the point where two canyons meet resulting in the waterfall. Our next destination will be Skouros beach, where we'll have 45 minutes to leisurely bathe in the crystalline waters.
After our swim, we'll go to a local restaurant to enjoy a delicious meal, comprised of a main dish, a salad, and dessert. After regaining our strength, we'll head back to Malia.
We will drop you off at your hotel around 4 pm, ending the safari tour.
