Immerse yourself in some of Australia's most beautiful natural landscapes on a hiking tour from Melbourne: enjoy walking through the Grampians National Park or Phillip Island - you decide!
Melbourne Hiking Tours
When making your reservation, you'll have the choice of two options for your hike. Both include pick up from Melbourne city centre at 7:20 am and drop you back off at the end of the tour.
Grampians Hike (11 hours)
Leave Melbourne behind and head by bus to the Grampians National Park, located a three hour drive away. Arriving in this spectacular nature reserve, we'll embark on a 4.2 kilometre (2.6 mile) trek, along which we'll get to admire the Grand Canyon and Silent Street. Reaching The Pinnacle, we'll enjoy stunning views of the surrounding landscapes, before stopping for a delicious lunch in the town of Halls Gap.
We'll then hike for another 2 kilometres (just over a mile) to Mackenzie Falls, where we'll stop to dip our feet in the icy waters. Afterwards, we'll walk up to Boroka Lookout for panoramic views of the Hall Gap, Lake Bellfield and Mt William mountain ranges.
At the end of the day, we'll return to Melbourne, and you'll be dropped back off between 7:30 pm and 7:45 pm.
This tour takes place on Wednesdays and Sundays.
Phillip Island Hike (10 hours)
After meeting in Melbourne, this excursion will take us by bus to Phillip Island. After an hour's drive, we'll arrive at Cape Woolamai, a popular surf destination. There, we'll begin our 6.8 kilometre (4.2 mile) hiking route through the rugged rock formations known as The Pinnacles. Reaching the highest point of the island, we'll take in the captivating views over the Bass Strait.
We'll then make a stop in Cowes for a well-earned lunch break, before enjoying a leisurely walk along the coast to reach The Nobbies. This wildly beautiful area is home to Australia's largest seal colony!
On the way back to Melbourne, we'll stop at Moonlit Sanctuary Wildlife Conservation Park to meet some of the country's most famous native animals. You'll then be dropped back off at the original meeting point between 5:30 pm and 5:45 pm.
This tour takes place on Tuesdays and Fridays.
