Tallinn Free Walking Tour
We'll meet at 11 am on Niguliste Street. From this central point in Tallinn, we'll start the walk through one of the best preserved Baltic medieval towns.
The heart of the centre is the Old Town Square. Here, we'll stop in front of the Raeapteek, the oldest pharmacy in Europe. We'll continue the free tour next to the St. Nicholas church, dedicated to the patron saint of fishermen and sailors. Following on, we'll admire another of the city's great religious monuments, the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral.
Nearby is the Toompea Castle, one of the monumental symbols of the Estonian capital. While we walk around the outside of the castle we'll learn about its origin. The bastion has witnessed countless anecdotes and curiosities ranging from the Middle Ages to the Soviet period, through many other stages.
The Tallinn towers are another symbolic part of the city, have guarded the city for centuries and acting as an impressive viewpoint for the city.
At 1 pm, the free tour will conclude at the starting point.
