Tierra del Fuego 4-Day Trip

Day 1

We will pick you up at your hotel in Ushuaia at 8 a.m, before driving northeast along the picturesque National Route 3. On the way, we will cross the spectacular Garibaldi Pass before making our first stop at Tolhuin, a small town in the heart of the Isla Grande de Tierra del Fuego.

We then continue our route which takes us into the Patagonian steppe. We make a stop in the idyllic town of Río Grande and then later, head towards the border between Argentina and Chile. Once there, we will cross the spectacular Radman Pass to reach Lake Blanco where we will spend the first night.

After settling into the hotel, we meet back up again and visit a nearby beaver dam. We will admire this beautiful phenomenon of nature and then head back to the accommodation where you have the rest of the afternoon free to relax and have something to eat.

Day 2

After a tasty breakfast at the hotel, we will depart to the west of Tierra del Fuego's Isla Grande. We arrive at the idyllic hamlet of Camerón, on the shores of the bahía Inútil, which forms part of the famous Magallan Straight.

From there, we head north along the spectacular coastline to the King Penguin Park, where you will encounter hundreds of these fascinating birds. This area is home to the only colony of this particular species of penguin outside Antarctica.

We then continue to our next stop: El Porvenir. This pretty town was founded in 1894 by European immigrants chasing the gold rush. After, we drop you at the hotel so that you can recover and rest until the next day.

Day 3

After a tasty breakfast at the hotel, we drive back towards Argentina. We will follow the Cordón Baquedano, an ancient route taken by gold prospectors, and who in fact, were the very first inhabitants of Isla Grande de Tierra del Fuego. Our journey also takes us across the impressive San Sebastian International Pass and back to Rio Grande, where we then have time to eat.

Afterward, we drive Cape San Pablo, where we take a coastal hike to an ancient, remote lighthouse. From there. you will be rewarded with the impressive sight of the mighty Desdémona, a shipwrecked vessel which has lain in the shallows of the bay for almost 40 years.

We will then take you to the Hostería Kaiken hotel where, after checking into your room, you will have rest of the day free to eat dinner and rest at your own pace.

Day 4

After a delicious breakfast at the hotel, we will make our way back to the original starting point of the tour. On the way, we will make a stop to enjoy the incredible panoramic view of the two most famous lakes in Tierra del Fuego, Fagnano and Escondido
