Bruges Bike Tour
Tour Details
At the indicated time, we'll meet at 29 Grauwwerkersstraat, from which point we'll start this bike tour of Bruges! You're sure to fall in love with the city as we make our way through the iconic squares and narrow medieval streets.
From the picturesque Hof Bladelin Palace gardens, we'll hop on our bikes and travel back in time as we visit the most significant landmarks and monuments in Bruges.
We'll cycle to the Belfry of Bruges, an 83 m tall (275 ft) medieval bell tower, built in the 13th century. As one of the three iconic towers of Bruges, along with the Church of Our Lady and St. Savior's Cathedral, returning here to climb the 366 steps is well worth the effort. At the top, a stunning city view awaits!
Up next, we'll cycle through the Markt, which is the main square of Bruges that stands out for its wonderful architecture and colorful buildings as we learn all about its rich past. From here, we'll also pass by the Beguinage, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and a haven for relaxation between the city's hustle and bustle.
Next up, we'll move away from the city center to explore the quiet canals as well as the famous windmills. We'll also cycle by the Lake of Love, or “Minnewater” for the locals, to learn about the fascinating legends surrounding this body of water. The area is enchanting with its lush vegetation, tranquility and typical Bruges architecture. A bucolic paradise you'll love!
Leaving the narrow canals behind, we'll discover some of the city's hidden gems with the help of our knowledgeable guide. Medieval buildings, charming churches with an authentic charm will lead us to the Jerusalem chapel in the Sint-Anna district and much more.
After 2 hours of exploring Bruges by bike, we'll bring the experience to an end at the meeting point.
