Quillabamba 2 Day Cocoa Private Trip
Description
Day 1
We'll pick you up from your hotel at the designated time and head north to travel the Abra Malaga route, in the heart of the Sacred Valley of the Incas. We'll travel across breathtaking landscapes until we reach 4300 meters above sea level. We'll get to see rare species of birds, tropical forests, snow-capped mountain tops, and much more!
After a four-and-a-half-hour journey, we'll arrive in Quillabamba, where we'll spend the night. After dropping your luggage off at the hostel, you'll have an hour of free time to get some lunch at one of the restaurants in the area and try some delicious Peruvian cuisine!
At 1:30 pm, we'll meet up and take you to a family-owned cocoa farm. We'll go on a guided tour of the farm to discover the entire production process, from the harvest to the final product tasting. You'll even get to participate!
After enjoying a delicious chocolate tasting, we'll return to Quillabamba at around 6 pm, and you'll have the rest of the evening free.
Day 2
We'll meet at 8 am and begin our return journey back to the starting point.
If you prefer not to return to your hotel and continue by yourself on to Machu Picchu, we can drop you off this last day at the Quillabamba hydroelectric plant.
