Torres del Paine Trip
Discover the Torres de Paine National Park, one of the natural wonders of Chile. This tour will take you to the Mylodon Cave Natural Monument and some of the majestic glacial lakes of this Patagonian massif.
Torres del Paine Trip
After collecting you from your hotel in Puerto Natales, we'll head into the Torres del Paine National Park, following the shoreline of the Ultima Esperanza Sound inlet.
Along the way, we'll make a stop at Laguna Amarga, where you'll encounter one of the best views of the imposing Torres del Paine mountain range. If you make a trip on a clear day, you might even be lucky enough to see them reflected in the beautiful lake.
We'll continue by stopping at Nordenskjöld Lake to contemplate the famous Cordillera Paine mountains with the three distinctive Cuernos del Paine. The tallest mountain of the group, Paine Grande, reaches up to over 10,000 feet. Afterward, we continue our route, arriving at the spectacular Salto Grande waterfall which flows into Lake Pehoé.
Then we cross the Serrano bridge and come to Grey Lake, a glacial body of water located at the foot of Paine Grande. We'll stroll along the shore of the lake and, if the weather is good, you'll enjoy some spectacular views of the glacier from the viewpoint.
Before heading into the Mylodon Cave, we'll pass some of the beautiful lakes of Chilean Patagonia - Sofia, Porteño, and Del Toro. Then we finally reach the Natural Monument which is comprised of three spectacular caves. Here, you'll encounter South America´s most complete fossil remains of the Mylodon, a relative of the sloth family, and which became extinct at the end of the Ice Age.
When we finish the cave visit, we'll begin our return journey to Puerto Natales. During the trip, you will admire the three granite peaks which gave the national park its name, the Torres del Paine. The tour finishes back at your hotel between 6:30 and 7 pm.
