Tarragona Tourist Train
The tour begins at the central Paseo Palmeres, close to the Roman amphitheatre, one of the wonders left behind from Roman Hispania. Onboard Tarragona's charming tourist train, you'll be able to admire the city's main tourist attractions and discover over 2000 years of history with its Roman ruins, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
We'll chug alongside Tarragona's beach, admiring the port and the fishermen's quarter. Then we'll head into the centre of the city, passing by the old Roman forum as well as the Paleo-Christian necropolis until we reach the most modern area of Tarragona with its large avenues or ramblas.
During the tour we'll go back in time to the Roman conquest to discover the origins of the city as we marvel at the remains of the Wall of Tarragona. We'll visit the oldest part of Tarragona, where the cathedral and the university are located.
The tour ends back at the starting point, in the square Plaça de les Palmeres.
Routes and Stops
The Tarragona tourist train goes on a one-hour route and makes stops throughout. Your ticket is valid for one day, and you can hop on and off the train at any of its stops as many times as you like.

Timetables and Frequency
The train leaves every half hour from Plaça de les Palmeres, located between the circus and the Roman amphitheatre. Timetables vary according to the season.
- March: from 10:30 am to 7:10 pm
- April: from 10:30 am to 8:10 pm
- May: from 10:30 am to 8:30 pm
- June, July, August and September: from 10 am to 8:50 pm
- October: from 10:30 am to 8:30 pm
- November and December: from 10:30 am to 5:10 pm
The tourist train does not run in January or February. On Good Friday it only runs in the morning.
Cancellations and Refunds
As the cancellations section indicates, should you cancel after making your reservation, you will be refunded 100% of the total price. If you don't turn up, you will not be offered a refund.
That means that you will be refunded 100% of the value if you don't use it. Therefore you can cancel without charge at any time.
