Venice Legends & Mysteries Free Tour
Get a first taste of the City of Water on our Venice Legends & Mysteries Free Tour. We'll learn all about the mysteries hidden in this city's fascinating history and explore its less-visited places.
Description
At the designated time, we'll meet at the steps of San Simeone Piccolo Church, near Santa Lucia station. We'll kick off our free tour of the legends and mysteries of Venice with a stroll along the banks of the Grand Canal.
We'll stop in some of the most beautiful squares in Venice as we make our way to the Cannaregio neighbourhood, which is the oldest neighbourhood in the city.
Afterwards, we'll head to the Venetian Ghetto. The Jewish population was forced by the Venetian Republic to live in this part of Cannaregio, from the early 16th to the end of the 18th century. While walking through this part of Venice, we'll discuss the history of the buildings we come across.
You'll also see how the locals live as we wander through residential areas rarely frequented by tourists and learn about local legends.
After a total of 2 hours, our free tour will finish by the famous Rialto Bridge, where we'll round off the activity with incredible views.

A - You can bring a buggy, but we would like to advise customers that Venice is a city full of bridges and it may be uncomfortable to carry the buggy at every bridge.

Q - Why do this activity with Civitatis?
A - All Civitatis activities go through a selection process. Within our listings, you won't find two equal activities offered by different providers: we simply take the company with the best reviews and quality and stick with that one. If our users start leaving negative reviews on an activity, we understand that something is off, and we contact the provider to establish a solution. If this situation persists, we look for another company that responds to our commitment to excellence. That's why doing an activity with Civitatis means getting it right every time and ending up satisfied with the service.
