Malaga is synonymous with fried fish, salmorejo and sweet wine. The capital of the Costa del Sol has so many gastronomical treats for you to try; are you hungry?
Malaga Food Tour
We'll meet at the Atarazanas Market ready to start our food tour of Malaga. Are you ready to try some of the Costa del Sol's most delicious delicacies?
Our first stop will be in the market itself; the oldest in the city. Its Moorish Revival architecture and its colourful stained glass windows are sure to impress. But, whilst we'll admire the building, we'll really be visiting to try one of the true gastronomic delights of the city: pescaíto frito (little fried fish).
We'll continue our food tour, passing among the city centre's restaurants and terraces, discovering more about the local cuisine. We'll then stop by the old fashioned churro bar, Casa Aranda, to learn how to order a coffee. Did you know that in Malaga they do this differently to the rest of Spain?
Next, we'll visit Casa Mira, Malaga's first ice cream parlour and we'll continue exploring around the streets in the centre, trying typical treats on our way. Do you know what the most popular wine of the Malaga Fair is? You'll find out at the historical Casa del Guardia.
No food tour of Malaga would be complete without visiting El Pimpi, one of the city's most important wineries. Located on the lively Alcazabilla street, the wines and dishes here have won the hearts of locals and visitors alike. Discover the true taste of Malaga!
After experiencing first-hand why Malaga is famed for its gastronomy, we'll finish our food tour at the emblematic Plaza de la Merced.
