Warsaw Old Town Walking Tour
We'll meet at 11 am next to the Sigismund Column, one of the most important monuments in Warsaw. Are you ready to travel back in time to the Polish capital's past?
The tour will start by discovering the stories of Warsaw's old town. We'll stop at the symbolic Royal Castle, which was destroyed during the Second World War and completely rebuilt. The guide will explain all there is to know about this majestic baroque palace, a fundamental element in understanding the city's history.
We'll continue admiring important buildings such as St. Florian's Cathedral and the Barbican, a link between the Old City and the modern part of Warsaw. Then we'll get the tram to the Praga quarter, a district on the banks of the Vistula River that is the only area of Warsaw that was spared the bombings of World War II.
Next, we'll wander through the streets and come across the peculiar architecture of its buildings, as well as the numerous murals and graffiti that adorn them. You might recognise some of the different corners around the neighbourhood, such as Mała street where The Pianist was filmed.
To satisfy our appetite after the walk, we'll stop at a place to try out a local delicacy, the pyzy. We'll accompany the meal with a local drink called oranżada. The tour will end in front of the Koneser vodka factory at 2 pm.
