Cagliari Bike Tour
At 10:30 am we'll meet in via Sant'Alenixedda, very close to the Lirico di Cagliari Theatre, and we'll get on our bikes to start the route. Let's pedal! During the tour, we'll combine nature and city to get to know the two sides of the capital of Sardinia.
Our first stop will be the Molentargius regional park, where we'll most probably see some flamingos. In this protected reserve, which is one of the most important wetlands in central Italy, we'll talk about the varied fauna and flora that live in the area.
Nearby is Poetto beach, a large bay of white sand that stretches for 8 kilometres. The Sella del Diavolo (Devil's Chair) is sure to attract your attention - it's time to learn about its curious legend!
After passing through the Arena Sardegna stadium, we'll see the Our Lady of Bonaria sanctuary, which dates back to the 14th century. Did you know that this building is the oldest example of Catalan-Gothic architecture in Sardinia?
Then we'll head to the Su Siccu port and cross the Via Roma, the main street in Cagliari. As we cycle we'll enjoy its historical buildings and learning about the origins of the Sardinian city.
