Eating in Lhardy is living a moment in the place where the present of Spain is built, the past is read and the future is projected. Delicious wherever you look at it, with gastronomy at the level of its history and contemporary at the same time. We bring back memories and everlasting gratitude from Lhardy.

Discover Lhardy, one of the most legendary restaurants in Madrid, where royals and intellectuals have been dining since 1839. Sample its famous dishes and eat in one of its majestic rooms.

Lhardy Restaurant

Lhardy is an historic Madrid landmark. It was founded in 1889 as a confectioner but soon grew into one of the most famous eateries in the city. It is said that in these rooms political meetings took place and conspiracies were plotted. José de Salamanca, Emilio Castelar, José Abascal, Isabella II of Spain, Alfonso XII of Spain and Benito Pérez Galdós are just some of the notable people to have passed by the restaurant.

In the Lhardy restaurant you can enjoy the elegance and fine cooking that has been their trademark for over one hundred years.

The restaurant has been characterised by its delicate gastronomy from the beginning. Combining French haute cuisine with the Madrid culinary tradition, Lhardy has been offering a delicious selection of savoury dishes and desserts for 175 years, earning it mentions in plays, novels and newspaper articles.
