On the banks of Lake Nakuru, you can find any number of flamingos and rhinoceroses, as well as a wealth of other animal species. You'll explore its great biodiversity with this excursion.
Lake Nakuru Day Trip
From your hotel in Nairobi, we'll make our way into the heart of Kenya, visiting one of the most diverse ecosystems in the whole country: Lake Nakuru.
Once the tour arrives at the Lake Nakuru National Park, we'll stop along the banks to get up close and personal with the famous Nakuru flamingos: their characteristic pink colour contrasts with the greens and blues reflected in the waters of the lake. But these birds are not the only ones to call this habitat home - local residents also include buffalo, and rhinoceroses who head to the lake to drink its fresh, clean water.
Around midday we'll head to a local hotel (Sarova Lion Hill or Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge, depending on availability), to fuel up with a picnic - including three sandwiches, two pieces of fruit, a yoghurt, fruit juice and mineral water.
Then after eating we'll continue exploring the lake until we make our way to Nakuru itself - where we'll take a tour of its urban centre. Did you know that it's the fourth largest town in Kenya? Then, with the guided tour over and an unforgettable day exploring Kenya's wildlife behind us, we'll make our way back to the Nairobi hotels.
This is a private tour organized for you and your partner, friends or family.
